Dear Friends of Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory,

With your help, Our Lady has won another victory!

OLV’s Giving Day, set annually to coincide with The Feast of Our Lady of Victory, is critical to our school’s success. It is fitting that we place the school in Our Lady’s hands each year, knowing that we are under her patronage and protection.

This year, after a full day of prayer and excitement, we gathered on the evening of October 6 for our Lepanto Festival in eager anticipation of the results of hundreds of hours spent inviting lovers of authentically Catholic, liberal arts education from across the country and the globe into our mission. We were thrilled to see donations far surpass our $310,000 goal. In the end, we were humbled and overwhelmed to have received $360,000 from approximately 850 donors, including our six corporate sponsors.

Supporters came from varying circumstances - grandparents, friends, aunt and uncles, priests and religious - and from all parts of the country and even abroad. This year, gifts came from 41 of the 50 states, as well as 3 foreign countries: Canada, Ecuador, and Spain.

Because of you, our school, now in its fifth year, will continue forming the hearts and minds of this next generation of Catholic leaders, passing on the treasures of Western and Christian civilization, and so preparing them to battle for Christ in promoting the cultura vitae - the culture of life!

OLV’s Pilgrimage in Honor of Julia Greeley Featured in the Denver Catholic

On September 15, 2023, in honor of Julia Greeley, servant of God, OLV students and families went on pilgrimage during a very special Formation Friday. We were grateful to be accompanied by the Denver Catholic and are hopeful our story will help advance Julia’s cause for canonization. View the video story here.

After attending Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where Julia was baptized and attended daily Mass, we proceeded to the chapel where thousands gathered after her death, the firehouse where she handed out “tickets to heaven” (tracts designed to help firemen remain close to their Lord and Savior in the event of an untimely death) and then to the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception with adoration and veneration of Julia’s tomb.
