We encourage all families to apply for OLV financial aid, even if you believe you may not qualify. We are grateful that no student who was accepted and desired to attend OLV has been turned away due to financial factors. Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory admits and provides financial aid to students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
Applying for financial aid at Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory is a two-step process. Carefully read the instructions below. Step 1: Apply for OLV Financial Aid
Like other private schools, we use the FACTS Financial Aid application for financial aid award analysis. Applications for OLV Financial Aid open on December 6, 2025.
You may begin an application for financial aid before receiving an acceptance letter, however, only those families who have been accepted, completed the enrollment process, and submitted a FACTS application, including uploading your 2025 tax return with supporting schedules, or your 2024 tax return, supporting schedules, and 2025 W-2’s, can receive a financial aid award. Further, you must submit your financial aid application including supporting tax documents at least 4 weeks prior to receiving an award letter.
Financial aid awards will be communicated in two phases, based on your enrollment choice:
If you enroll by February 20, financial aid awards will be communicated on March 6.
If you enroll by March 13, financial aid awards will be communicated on March 27.
For either phase, your financial aid application must be submitted through FACTS, along with all required supporting tax documents. We recommend submitting your application and all supporting documents at least four weeks before the award communication date. This will allow sufficient time for FACTS to verify your application and for OLV to review and make a decision.
Applicants for financial aid who miss these two award periods will be considered for an aid award as available funds permit.
Note for families with a returning ACE/Schmitz scholar:
If your student is a returning ACE/Schmitz scholar (currently in the 8th-11th grades) and you do not want to apply for additional financial aid from OLV, you need only apply for the ACE scholarship.
If you have a new student entering, along with your returning ACE recipient, you will need to submit an OLV FACTS application in case your new student does not receive an ACE/Scholarship.
Step 2: Apply for an ACE Scholarship - NEW PROCESS
All families who apply to OLV for financial aid may also apply to ACE Colorado. Completing the ACE application also gives access to the Schmitz Family Foundation Scholarship. A student who is found eligible, and is awarded a scholarship through the ACE application process, will automatically receive that scholarship for their remaining years at OLV, or any other qualifying private high school they attend.
What’s New? The ACE Colorado scholarship online application process for 2026-27 will take place on their own website. ACE will no longer process applications through FACTS, and ACE will charge an application fee of $25.
Applications for ACE Scholarships in Colorado open on February 2, 2026 and close on April 15, 2026. The ACE application process requires a separate online application. Please go to the ACE Colorado website on February 2nd to begin your application. Read carefully through the steps below for more details:
For RETURNING ACE scholarship recipients - students who received a 2025-26 ACE or Schmitz scholarship while in grades 8-11.

In order for your student to continue to receive an ACE or Schmitz scholarship for 2026-27, you must complete an ACE application. Parents of returning students will receive notification from ACE to complete the application.
Returning students will not need to submit tax documentation with their application. HOWEVER, in order for ACE to recognize your student as a previous scholar, parents must use the SAME email address as they used for their 2025-26 application in FACTS. If that email is no longer active, you must contact ACE at cosupport@acescholarships.org, or call 985-800-3950 to let them know.
In the ACE application, you will have to choose Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory as one of your school choices.
For NEW ACE scholarship applicants - students who did not receive a 2025-26 ACE or Schmitz scholarship while in grades 8-11.
To apply visit the ACE Colorado website, create an account and follow the application instructions.
You will be required to upload your completed 2025 tax return, including all supporting schedules, to the ACE application by April 15th to qualify for an ACE or Schmitz scholarship.
Please plan to submit your application and tax documents early, as it can take 2-4 weeks to process your application and verify your tax documents. ACE cannot honor tax extensions, or make exceptions for missing or incorrect documents turned in too late to be processed. The earlier you submit your application, the sooner you will be notified by ACE if a tax document is missing or incomplete.
In the ACE application, you will have to choose Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory as one of your school choices.

December 6: OLV Financial Aid applications open through FACTS
January 31: First deadline to complete OLV financial aid applications through FACTS in order to be considered for the first round of financial aid awards to be sent on March 6.
February 2: ACE Scholarship applications open. The deadline to complete applications in April 15th.
February 20: First Enrollment Deadline for new and transfer students to receive financial aid awards on March 6th.
February 2: ACE Scholarship applications open through FACTS. Deadline to complete applications is April 15th.
March 6: OLV Financial Aid award letters sent if enrolled by February 20th.
March 13: Second Enrollment Deadline for new and transfer students to receive financial aid awards on March 27th.
March 27: OLV Financial Aid award letters sent if enrolled by March 13th.
April 15: Deadline to complete ACE application.
June: ACE sends award notifications to families.
