Lepanto Festival

Every October, Our Lady of Victory celebrates its namesake feast, the Feast of Our Lady of Victory (also called Our Lady of the Rosary), which takes place on October 7th. This great feast celebrates the decisive naval victory of the Christian fleet at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. This miraculous victory was attributed by Christians then and now to Pope St. Pius V’s invitation to all Christians to pray the Rosary for the success of the Christian forces.

In honor of this great feast, OLV hosts an annual outdoor festival for faculty, staff, students, families, and the broader community. We kick off the evening with a student-led rosary followed by a rollicking celebration involving food trucks, dunk tanks and dancing under the stars.
