Sarah Akers is the Vice President of Human Resources for FOCUS. She joined FOCUS in 2001, serving previously in roles as a Campus Missionary, Team Director, and Regional Director.
She graduated with a B.A. in Theology from Christendom College and received her master’s in psychology from Divine Mercy University.
Sarah lives in Denver, Colorado, and is a parishioner at St. Vincent De Paul Parish.
Lyle Bauman is a senior manager in the consulting practice Plante & Moran, PLLC, a national accounting and consulting firm. He focuses on serving clients in an outsourced financial accounting capacity, ranging from setting up and implementation of accounting systems to transactional accounting support, and financial statement preparation and analysis. Lyle has over 12 years of experience in public accounting, serving clients across numerous industries, both for- and non-profit. He has consulted for a number of Catholic organizations to assist them with financial accounting processes, procedures, and reporting. He holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Denver. Lyle and his wife have six children and are parishioners of St. Mary Catholic Parish.
Denver native and Franciscan University graduate Natalie Chiappone has nurtured her family for 22 years as a dedicated stay-at-home mom. Her passion for Catholic education led her and her husband Chris to champion Our Lady of Victory since its founding. Witnessing their daughters thrive at OLV fuels her dedication to serving the school.
Kevin Greaney is the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for the Archdiocese of Denver, where he and his team focus on digital and print mass communications, and consulting with parishes, schools and ministries to ensure their message is getting heard. Previously he served as Chief Operations and Marketing Officer for Creatio, a Catholic missionary and pilgrimage organization based in Denver. Kevin has walked the Camino de Santiago three times and is an avid cyclist. He is a parishioner at Holy Ghost in Denver.
Scott Hefelfinger serves on the faculty of the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology. A California native, Scott studied music composition at U.C. Berkeley. A powerful rediscovery of the Catholic faith led him to serve for a year as a missionary with NET Ministries; this service was followed by further studies at the International Theological Institute in Austria and the University of Notre Dame, where he completed a PhD in Moral Theology. Scott currently teaches in the areas of dogmatic and moral theology, taking inspiration from Christ’s promise of “life in abundance” (Jn 10:10). In addition to his research and teaching, he speaks regularly on morality, prayer, and family life at parishes and conferences. As a down-to-earth counterbalance, he enjoys roasting coffee at home and recently partnered with his oldest son to start a micro-coffee roasting business. Scott and his wife, Simone, live with their four children in Centennial, CO, and are parishioners at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Dave Holman is a founding partner of the law firm of Crisham & Holman LLC. Hailing from Montana, Mr. Holman is a graduate of Providence College (B.A., history), the University of Chicago (M.A., social sciences), and the College of William & Mary Law School (J.D.). Between graduate school and law school, Mr. Holman worked as a reporter in Washington, D.C. After law school, Mr. Holman served as a law clerk of Judge Paul J. Kelly, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and worked as an attorney in an international law firm in Washington, D.C., and as a partner in the trial group of a Denver-based law firm.
In 2014, the Holman Family moved to Littleton, where they are parishioners at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mr. Holman and his wife Jane have five children.
Ashley is a homeschool father of five children as well as a deacon in St. Mary Catholic Parish. As a graduate of Simon Fraser University he holds a Bachelors of Science in Computing Science. Prior to moving to Colorado, Ashley spent 12 years working for Microsoft. Ashley, his wife Megan, and their five children live in Littleton, Colorado.
A Colorado native, Kevin lives in Littleton with his wife and five children, the oldest of whom is a sophomore at OLV. The McAdam family attends St. Mary, the parish in which Kevin received his Sacraments of Initiation (a long time ago!) Kevin graduated from Boston College with a BA in International Studies and obtained his JD from the University of Colorado Law School. After clerking for a federal judge in Denver, Kevin joined Colorado’s largest law firm, Holland & Hart, where he is a Partner in the business litigation group focusing on complex civil cases.
Matt Miller was born and raised in San Diego, California before attending Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. It was there he received degrees in both Theology and Catechetics and also met his wife, Dianna. Now living in Highlands Ranch, they have four children, including two OLV students. Matt has been in software sales for over a decade, specifically in the field of cybersecurity; identity management, application vulnerability remediation, data security and ransomware recovery. He has also served as a youth minister for the Archdiocese of Denver and has been a professional worship leader and musician for over 20 years. Matt and his family have now lived in Colorado for 15 years and have been active participants in the Catholic community in Denver.
A parent of two OLV students, Mike lives in Centennial along with his wife and three children. Mike is a recent convert to the Catholic faith after receiving his first communion and confirmation in June of 2019. He and his family are parishioners at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
The Schubert family immigrated to the United States in 2019 from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Mike graduated with a Petroleum Engineering degree from the University of Alberta and works as a Senior Manager of Production & Operations for Denver-based energy company Ovintiv.
