
Mr. Randy Aust | Headmaster
Mr. Aust grew up in Orange County, California. Prior to relocating to Denver in 2022, he spent ten years living and teaching in Illinois. Most recently, he served as Dean of Students and a Theology/History teacher at St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the University of San Francisco and a M.T.S. from Boston College. Mr. Aust and his wife, Kasey, have four children and are parishioners at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Littleton. He has a deep and abiding love for Dante’s Divine Comedy, Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick and the epic poetry of Homer. In his spare time, he enjoys watching baseball and exploring Colorado with his wife and kids. With seventeen years of classroom experience teaching theology, history, and philosophy in a variety of contexts, Mr. Aust is excited and honored to step into the role of Headmaster at Our Lady of Victory this year.

Ms. Emma Barham | Office Administrator
Ms. Barham grew up outside of Boulder, Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with her B.A. in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and Spanish Literature and Language. She then graduated from the University of Washington with her M.S. in Speech Pathology and practiced speech therapy within the public schools for two years before discerning a vocation to religious life. All of these experiences instilled in her a deep passion for education, authentic Catholic life, and living intentionally within community to encourage one another to live with integrity as the person God created them to be pursuing Him in all things. Ms. Barham looks forward to serving OLV in this position as office administrator and is excited to accompany families and students in their pursuit of becoming fully alive in Christ. In her free time, Ms. Barham enjoys hiking, running, reading literature, playing piano, and singing.

Mr. John Cooney | Director of Mission Advancement
Mr. John Cooney, born and raised in Spokane, Washington, attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana upon high school graduation. There, he studied theology, philosophy, and political science and completed Carroll’s great books program, the Honors Scholars Program. After converting to Catholicism in college, Mr. Cooney entered seminary at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado on behalf of the Diocese of Helena. Following five years of seminary formation, Mr. Cooney felt the Lord inviting him to step away from formation in order to continue his discernment. Recreationally, Mr. Cooney enjoys marathoning, hiking, writing, and reading—especially the works of St. John Henry Newman and Fyodor Dostoevsky. He is eager to partner with and serve the community of Our Lady of Victory this year.

Mrs. Lisa Cushnie | Director of Business Operations
Mrs. Cushnie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA from Cal State Fullerton. She spent ten years working in the aviation aerospace industry in California and Utah before getting married and staying home to raise a family.
She and her husband are parishioners at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Littleton, and have four children, who she homeschooled through 6th grade.
Mrs. Cushnie served for three years on the governing board of a top ranked Colorado liberal arts high school, gaining experience in school governance, reviewing and evaluating curriculum, and writing school policy. In her spare time, Mrs. Cushnie enjoys reading, sewing, home improvement projects, and going out to coffee and dinner with friends.

Ms. Madelyn ("Maddie") Wofford | Director of Admissions and Marketing
Ms. Wofford was born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma and holds a B.S. in Nutritional Science from Oklahoma State University. She comes to us from the University of Mary in North Dakota, where she worked in admissions for the school’s graduate programs in philosophy and theology. Her time in this position revealed and deepened her interest in the fullness of human life, and she is excited to be a part of the OLV community which promotes this fullness so intentionally.
