INFORMATION & UPDATES

  • Dear Friends and Families of Our Lady of Victory,

On this Solemnity of Saint Joseph, I am reminded of my personal affinity for the man who became the adopted father of our Lord. While Saint Joseph is a beautiful icon of masculinity and fatherhood who speaks to me as both a man and a father, he also holds a special place in my heart as an educator.

As Pope Francis wrote in Patris Corde, his apostolic letter marking the 150th anniversary of Saint Joseph’s proclamation as patron of the universal Church, Joseph “knew that his child was not his own but had merely been entrusted to his care.” On today’s feast day, I commend this beautiful letter to the entire OLV community, and especially to the fathers and future fathers who may be reading this note. The full text is available here and well worth your time:

    https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/apost_letters/documents/papa-francesco-lettera-ap_20201208_patris-corde.html

Congratulations to our Sophomores for their delightful performance of The Mysterious Case of the Manx, and to Mrs. Ouyang and her incredible team of parent volunteers for bringing the production together in only eight weeks. Well done, everyone!

The arts are central at OLV, and I hope you will join us for what promises to be another beautiful celebration of the arts in our community tonight at the Evening of Fine Arts, which begins at 6:00 at OLV.

Finally, this will be my last Headmaster’s Note before Easter, with the arrival of Baby Girl Aust expected in the next few days. Kasey and I are grateful for your prayers. I am confident that Our Lady of Victory is in good hands in my absence, with both Mr. Reuter and Mrs. Cushnie handling various aspects of my responsibilities while I’m away. Please be assured of my continued prayers for Our Lady of Victory as we approach the Easter Triduum.

Our Lady of Victory, pray for us! Saint Joseph, patron of fathers, pray for us!

    Peace in Christ,
    Randy

  • Hi everyone,

Next Friday, March 27th, OLV will be having a vocations day. Here are the activities prepared for the students:

    • All of the boys will be learning about the vocation to priesthood and touring Saint John Vianney Seminary with Fr Jason Wallace, and our seminarians from 10:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.

    • The junior and senior girls will learn about the vocation to contemplative religious life and tour the Abbey of St Walburga (leaving at 7:30 and returning by 3 p.m.).

    • The freshman and sophomore girls will hear about the vocation to Holy Matrimony with mothers from the OLV community from 10:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.

Drop off and pick up times are the same as a typical school day.

    In Christ,
    Grant Reinicke

  • Dear OLV Families,

We are all looking forward to welcoming our new Archbishop into our diocese next week! As many of you know, the Installation Mass of Archbishop Golka will take place on Wednesday, March 25th from 2:00–5:00 PM in Greeley. This is a special occasion for our Archdiocese, and we encourage our students and families to attend if they are able.

Tickets for the Mass can be found here: https://archden.org/installation-mass/

As this is a significant event in the life of our local Church, a few teachers will be present at the Mass to represent our school. If you and your families are attending and would like to sit with the community, you can email receptionist@ourladyofvictorydenver.com. Also, if our students are attending, we ask that they consider wearing their uniforms as representatives of our school community. All students attending the Installation Mass will be excused from classes.

We hope many of you will be able to take part in this beautiful celebration as we welcome Archbishop Golka.

    In Christ,
    Emma Barham
    Office Administrator

  • On Wednesdays, when the weather permits (60°F or above), our school walks to a nearby park during lunch. As warm temperatures return, these park lunches will be mandatory for all students. For park lunch, students should plan to bring a lunch that does not require a microwave and a change of shoes if they would like.

  • Dear OLV Families,

We have 4 remaining $20 Schoolbelles gift certificates for any families who would like one. This can be helpful especially to use if you have a rising junior or senior for the upcoming school year, to purchase a Chesterton Academy blazer. The gift certificate expires August 31st, 2026. It has a coupon code that you will enter when you checkout on the online store.

The Upperclassmen School Blazer: Juniors and Seniors are allowed and encouraged to purchase and wear the Chesterton blazer as part of their regular uniform. The blazer signifies the increased maturity, responsibility, and leadership now required of upperclassmen. Juniors and Seniors who have blazers will be requested to wear them at special events throughout the school year.

Please email receptionist@ourladyofvictorydenver.com to request a gift certificate, and it will be given to your student.

    FAQs About the Event

  • Dear Families,

We have cycled through offering a Mass for every family in the school, and we would like to open up our Mass intentions to the community now. You can email me (receptionist@ourladyofvictorydenver.com) with an intention (and if it's for a specific day or open to any day). We ask that families limit to 1 intention for the remainder of the year.

It is a joy getting to celebrate Mass as a community and praying together!

  • We will be elevating the liturgy for the Feast of the Annunciation (Wednesday, 3/25). One of the ways we will be doing this is by using Latin for the entrance antiphon, the offertory antiphon, and the communion antiphon. English translations will be provided as a handout as you walk into Mass. In addition, the Sanctus and Agnus Dei will be sung with different Gregorian chants. This will be the Missa de Angelis, also known as Mass VIII. If you would like to listen to these beautiful chants ahead of time, please follow the links below.
