Welcome to all new families entering OLV for the 2025-26 school year!
The Quid Novi? (“What’s New” in Latin) is the weekly school newsletter emailed to parents and students on Thursday afternoons throughout the school year, and only as necessary during the summer months. Both parents' emails were added to the mailing list. Please make it a priority to read through the Quid Novi weekly, as this serves as our primary standard communication to parents.

We are excited for the 3rd annual Victory Through Christ summer camp! This year will look a little different. This year's camp is built to expose athletes to what a true 5-day training program, centered around Christ, would look like. Athletes will spend 3 days inside the gym, doing full body workouts, learning/reinforcing proper movement patterns. The other 2 days will be spent outside, persevering through conditioning and competition. By the end of the week participants will know basic strength movements, conditioning protocol, gym etiquette, and how to structure an effective training program to continue progressing.
The VTC camp is open to all rising 7th-12th graders.
Dates: August 4th - 8th, 2025
Time: 8:30 am - 11:00 am daily
Available Slots: 25 (First come, First serve basis)

Please see the attached article published by the Denver Catholic which highlights two of our incoming OLV freshmen students!
In this article, you will see that OLV is a Spark School! This means that OLV has joined the FIRE Foundation’s cohort of Spark Schools and is on the path to eventual FIRE funding to support all of its students regardless of learning differences. Spark schools receive free Professional Development programs and participation in Friends of FIRE. The Friends of FIRE program is a community of local parents who meet six times a year to build community, support and share resources, advance FIRE Denver's mission, and host community resource events.
If you would like to be a "Friends of FIRE" parent to represent OLV at FIRE events and to serve as OLV’s ambassador, please submit your name to Randy Aust. See FIRE Programs to learn more.
In the coming month, our new headmaster, Randy Aust, will share plans outlining how we will continue to support students requiring accommodations in the upcoming academic year.

This year's Verso L' Alto retreat falls on May 27th and 28th, the Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial Day. These two days culminate the school year and give time and space for leisure, friendship, gratitude and recollection.
On Tuesday, after 7:30 mass at OLV, we will carpool to Waterton Canyon for an all school hike up to the reservoir. Frasatti said that "the higher we go, the more clearly we shall hear the voice of Christ", and this is the goal of our hike, to hear the words Christ speaks about our completed school year.
On Wednesday, we will have leisure and prayer at OLV, including a teacher hosted pancake breakfast, adoration, school grill-out, and games at the park. Frasatti said that "We must always be cheerful. Sadness should be banished from all Christian souls". Through this day we hope to provide great leisure as a model for our students' summer leisure.
To make these days possible, we have a few volunteer needs. The first is a carpool to and from OLV for the hike (8:00 am OLV pick-up, 2:30 hike pick-up). Parents who carpool are also welcome to come on the hike. For Wednesday, we will also need several (6-7) electric griddles and hopefully a grill (the school has one, but another would be helpful). Please contact Mr. Reuter if you can help with any of these needs.

Registration for fall sports 2025 is now open and will close June 2nd. We will be offering Girl’s Volleyball (two levels) and coed cross country. Official practices will start August 11th but the early registration will allow for optional summer workouts, uniforms, and other logistics to be done in time.
More details on both sports can be found on the Athletics page. Contact Coach Jayce with questions.

Parents are asked to please fill out this volunteer survey to provide feedback on their volunteer experience this school year.
